The lightness of Being

"Lightness Of Being is a giant flexible lamp.
The inside is full of technique though its look refers to a giant flower
like from Alice in wonderland.
To switch the light I pull the felt over the stem and the 'flower' closes,
and so does the light.
.."

have been meaning to show this to ya'll for a while

Anndra Neen

read about this eclectic jewelry label in Zoo Mag the other day
was intrigued by their name,
and also by their ability to twist that cold raw-ness
those meshes of wire and dirty metal
into a sculptural seduction

and then stumbled upon Richard Burbridge's take on their pieces
inspired by Frida Kahlo this shoot emits that self tortured
haunted artist look
creating a perfect dialogue with the jewelry at hand

According to Zoo Mag Anndra Neen will producce
a line for men as well as home furnishings-
can't wait!

Elisa Strozyk

Weave project

'Wood Textiles'

a flexible morphing carpet made with offcut wood
designer's words :
"Giving importance to surfaces that are desirable to touch can reconnect us with the material world and enhance the emotional value of an object.
“Wooden Textiles” convey a new tactile experience. We are used to experience wood as a hard material, we know the feeling of walking across wooden floors, to touch a wooden tabletop or to feel the bark of a tree. But we usually don’t experience a wooden surface which can be manipulated by touch."
