The Unbegotten

Art for the Masses

image via http://www.comcast.net/

for those of you who have been to Hong Kong recently
must have sometime or another endured the long walk
in between TST and East TST station

recently the mall K11 - known as the world's first 'arts' mall
launched a series of public art activities in which sought to
spice up that journey

theatrical dancers in elaborate body painting were invited to perform
in a 'black box' space over looking this MTR subway
obscuring the performance by the smoky black glass

I believe this is a beautiful concept in trying to
get the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong to take a breather
contemplate the moment and
appreciate the small details in life

I also saw a clip of violin buskers in the mall
(not a common sight in Hong Kong trust me, it ain't David Jones!)

or for those of you spend over $100 this June there is a
workshop where they teach you to recycle old fabrics into new fashion goodies!
